Club Rules

Wednesday evening duplicate pairs sessions start at 7:30pm prompt and finish between 10:30pm and 11:00pm. MKBC's Premier duplicate session is directed by one of the club's EBU qualified Directors. It is competetive in nature and more suited to experienced partnerships. There is no restriction on system employed within the constraints that would be placed by the EBU on an experimental licenced system. A partner is essential. Members pay no table money. Visitors pay £3.00 for the session. Tea (30p), Coffee (35p) and Fruit Juice (25p) are available throughout the evening. Smoking is not permitted in the building.

Wednesday Competitions
Competitions run January to December. Winners earn a place at the annual club dinner.

First Wednesday Trophy: The pair with highest average from best 7 percentages.

Stantonbury Plate: Awarded to pair with the highest total local points gained during the year. 'National' local points from simultaneous events are not counted. Enhanced scale local points awarded at events such as the Club Championship are included.

Individual Trophy awarded to member with highest average local points total per attendance. Minimum of 17 attendances, points rules as Stantonbury Plate.

Club Championship: One winner movement for the qualifying event, with approximately half qualifying for the all-play-all final. No scores carry over for final.

Duplicate Pairs Evenings (Gilling Trophy) is awarded to the member who has won the highest number of EBU local points on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday evenings. Players must be ranked Master or below.
