Friday evening duplicate pairs sessions start at 7:45pm prompt and finishes between 10:30pm and 11:00pm. Whilst both club and EBU rules are adhered to, the atmosphere on a Friday is more social than competitive and as such is a good starting point for the less experienced players and new partnerships.

Friday Bridge is covered in the membership fee, members pay no table money. Visitors pay £3.00 for the session. Tea (30p), Coffee (35p) and Fruit Juice (25p) are available through-out the evening. Smoking is not permitted in the building.

Friday Pairs Competitions
Competitions run January to December. Winners earn a place at the annual club dinner.

The Handicap Trophy runs from January to December to award the member who achieves the highest percentage improvement over their first six months average. A minimum of 6 attendances is required in both the first and second six months of the year.

Friday Pairs runs from January to December and is awarded to the member or pair which have the highest average local points total per attendance. A minimum of 12 attendances are required.

Duplicate Pairs Evenings (Gilling Trophy) runs from January to December and is awarded to the member who has won the highest number of EBU local points on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday evenings. Players must be ranked Master or below.
